Our focus for the last quarter of 2018 is “Leading Me.” In October, November, and December our themes will include personal leadership, communication & connections, and celebration & assessment. Throughout the month of October, the BSC Team will be engaged with clients on their leadership and career development skills, writing operational policies and procedures, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs).

BSW students will be welcomed to the profession with a career development orientation session. They will learn what it means to be a professional social worker, understand the importance of job preparation and career success, and obtain an overview of professional development resources.
October 9: Career Coaching with Corbett.
The University of Alabama School of Social Work
MSW students will have an interactive session with fellow classmates and Coach Corbett to learn career readiness and social work techniques for their personal growth and career development journey.
October 25 and 26: 47th Annual Alabama-Mississippi Social Work Education Conference—Doing What’s Right: Educating Champions of Integrity, Justice, and Well-Being.
The Bryant Conference Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
The conference’s goal is to promote the transfer of information among schools providing social welfare education courses in the states of Alabama and Mississippi; to provide a forum for issues and problems of regional importance for the two states; and to enable individual schools and faculty members to be sensitive and responsive to the changing demands of social work education. Join Becky and fellow social work educators, students, and professionals on Thursday for an interactive Professional Networking luncheon keynote.
