Community Connections – In addition to Becky and Emily offering operational consulting, providing strengths-based coaching and developing curriculum, you can find us interacting with our colleagues and friends throughout the month.

April 2
Career Coaching with Corbett @ The University of Alabama, School of Social Work. Becky will facilitate the final gathering in the 11-session rotation about passing a social work licensure exam. MSW students are learning career readiness in social work techniques and interact with fellow classmates throughout their career development journey.

April 10-12 and 17-19
Practice Interviews @ The University of Alabama, School of Social Work. MSW students have the opportunity to connect with Becky via webcam for a mock interview. Students will come dressed for success and practice interviewing questions for future employment.

April 11 and April 18
In collaboration with The New Social Worker®, BSC is pleased to offer a Spring 2018 Webinar Series. Register TODAY for your career enhancement. April 11: Self-Care Wellshop™: Foundations & Fundamentals and April 18: Negotiate Your Best Salary & Benefits.

April 24-26
Leadership Institute Phase I Finale and Phase II Kick Off. Becky and Mande Ellison-Weed will be on site in Birmingham, AL to facilitate continued leadership growth and development for the 3rd cohort of the Peer Leaders Network. Participants from Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi receive leadership skills and techniques while providing support to each other as they develop supportive housing for persons living in rural communities.

April 28
The Bridge to Hope & Healing®: A Guide to Taking Care of Me and My Clients will be hosted by the NASW DC Metro Chapter. This unique program of narrative and experiential learning will give social workers and other mental health professionals, private practitioners, advocates and supervisors the tools and techniques to guide themselves, their clients and communities through a moment of crisis. Applying her social work background, spirituality and relationships with friends and family, Becky illustrates the power of hope and healing originally inspired by her story, My Husband is Gay-Now What?
