Community Connections – In addition to Becky and Emily offering operational consulting, providing strengths-based coaching and developing curriculum, you can find us interacting with our colleagues and friends throughout the month.

Career Coaching with Corbett @ The University of Alabama, School of Social Work. Becky will facilitate a session about Leading others: Supervising, Managing and Directing. MSW students are learning career readiness in social work techniques and interact with fellow classmates throughout their career development journey.
March 8
Change Management. Becky and Emily, along with their colleague Mande Ellison-Weed are facilitating a Peer Leaders Network. Participants from Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi receive leadership skills and techniques while providing support to each other as they develop supportive housing for persons living in rural communities.
March 15-16
PEAK 2018 Conference. The BSC team is pleased to be attending a 2-day educational conference in Washington, DC, that will enhance our e-learning efforts and assist us in reaching our goals. We will learn from peers, understand best practices and strategize on e-learning development and delivery. BSC is honored to partner with CommPartners for our My Growth Portal—our resource and customized training portal.

Ethics and Risk Management in the New Era of Social Work. In honor of Social Work Month, join Becky at the NASW Arkansas 2018 Conference: Social Work on the Frontiers of Change, Little Rock Marriott, March 28-30.
April 28 – Save-the Date
The Bridge to Hope & Healing®: A Guide to Taking Care of Me and My Clients will be hosted by the NASW DC Metro Chapter. This unique program of narrative and experiential learning will give social workers and other mental health professionals, private practitioners, advocates and supervisors the tools and techniques to guide themselves, their clients and communities through a moment of crisis. Applying her social work background, spirituality and relationships with friends and family, Becky illustrates the power of hope and healing originally inspired by her story, My Husband is Gay-Now What?
