Community Connections – In addition to Becky and Emily offering operational consulting, providing strengths-based coaching and developing curriculum, you can find us interacting with our colleagues and friends throughout the month.

November 1

Social Work Career Services @ The University of Alabama, School of Social Work. Becky will facilitate a virtual Lunch & Learn for BSW and MSW students on Navigating My Career Path: From Resumes to LinkedIn—Networking to Interviewing

November 9

Career Coaching with Corbett @ The University of Alabama, School of Social Work. Becky will facilitate a session about successful interviewing and networking skills for obtaining a social work job. MSW students are learning career readiness in social work techniques and interact with fellow classmates throughout their career development journey.

November 15-17

Rural Supportive Housing Initiative. Becky and Emily, along with their colleague Mande Ellison-Weed will be kicking off the third Peer Leaders Network cohort. Participants starting the program are from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi and will receive leadership training, as they prepare to develop supportive housing for persons living in rural communities.

November 18

Social Work Career Services @ The University of Alabama, School of Social Work. Becky will be teaching onsite at the Mobile site and other MSW distance education students will attend virtually. Our theme for the Lunch & Learn is Leading ME as a Professional Social Worker.

November 23

Happy Thanksgiving. Express your gratitude to your family, friends and friends who have become family and take the time to fully be present with them TODAY.

November 29

Social Work Career Services @ The University of Alabama, School of Social Work. Becky will facilitate a virtual Lunch & Learn for BSW and MSW students on Taking Care of Me: School/Work-Life Balance & Self-Care.

November 30

Emily will co-facilitate another Team Lead Training for Collaborative Solutions (CS) associates.  Participants continue to focus on establishing a successful virtual cultural environment, utilizing agency project management processes and technology and taking ownership as a project team lead. CS supports their mission to positively change lives and to manage projects effectively. Today’s theme is Creating Connections with Effective Communication.
