3 Reasons Why We All Need A Coach

What comes to mind when you hear the word coach? Is it sports? Are athletes the only people who need a coach? The role of an executive coach is to assist others with reaching their full potential. Everyone should have the opportunity to maximize their potential. Three (3) reasons why we all need a coach are:

  1. Intentional Growth
  2. Accountability
  3. Producktivity®

#1: Intentional Growth

Are you leading your growth or is your growth leading you? If you let growth happen, you become a part of someone else’s plan and purpose, rather than your own. Coaching provides you with the opportunity to be intentional about your growth by looking within to discover where you are and where you want to go in your personal and professional growth journey. A coach is completely focused on your goals and believes in you and your success.

#2: Accountability

Think about goals you have set for yourself, but have not successfully achieved. Did you write them down? Tell others? Have an accountability partner? When you are accountable to others, your rate of success increases, and when you have an accountability appointment (in this case, a coaching session), it increases significantly. A coach walks alongside of you and asks thoughtful questions that bring awareness and clarity of your opportunities while offering accountability to developing and achieving your goals.

 #3: Producktivity®

Being productive is about more than crossing items off your list. It is about aligning your values with how you spend your time and prioritizing where you focus your attention and energy. At BSC, we apply the Producktivity® Principles, Identify. Connect. Organize. to our strengths-based coaching to stretch and challenge you to get you where you want to be faster than if you do it on your own.

Having a coach allows you to develop awareness so you may grow with intention, be held accountable in a supportive environment and maximize your potential. What is one reason why you have or want to have a coach? Share your thoughts and experiences, join the conversation below.
