Thanksgiving Message from BSC and Becky

Count your blessings, twice today. Happy Thanksgiving.

Nana, my 103.5 year old grandmother taught me, “It’s All About Family.” No matter how you define family today, whether it is your blood relative, someone who married into (and maybe even divorced from the) family, or friend that you consider family, take a moment and express your sincere gratitude for their love, support, and friendship.

My Aunt Lil, my mama’s sister, turned 80 years old a few weeks ago; she taught me, “It’s F-A-M-I-L-Y.” Isn’t that the point of Thanksgiving…to take the day and spend it with friends and family? Enjoy a good laugh, eat too much food, root for a football team, express your gratitude, be thankful, and most importantly, be present in the moment.

Ducky and I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving….have a day filled with gratitude and thankfulness.

Thank you” is the best prayer that anyone could say. I say that one a lot. Thank you expresses extreme gratitude, humility, and understanding. -Alice Walker, Novelist
