There are many ways to move your growth plan to action. There are no-cost and low-cost options such as reading a book, article, or blog. You can follow an expert in your field on social media. A great example of that free resource is the information BSCorbett Consulting, LLC (BSC) shares regarding leadership on its Twitter account @BSCorbettLLC. An additional lowcost option is to find a successful mentor in your industry who is willing to provide career guidance. There are also higher-cost options such as attending a training session, hiring a professional coach, or obtaining a certification. How do you know when it is time to invest additional time and money in your growth? It is a personal decision, one where you must weigh available resources and the expected return on your investment. For me personally, I knew when I realized in order to add more value to others, I needed to add more value to me.

Four months ago, my President & CEO Becky Corbett of BSCorbett Consulting, LLC identified a certification opportunity that built upon my personal growth plan, while providing future resources to our company.
