A Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.
January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968
Winner of the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize for his non-violent efforts during the Civil Rights Movement

Martin Luther King Jr (MLK) is one of the most well-known advocates for civil rights in America. One major distinction that sets him apart from other champions was his staunch rejection of violent measures. Even after being arrested 30 times, MLK never faltered in his devotion to peace for all, regardless of color.

Here are some of my favorite Martin Luther King Jr. quotes:

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

If you can’t fly, then run, If you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the sameboat now.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Be a leader, like Martin Luther King Jr., and move to action TODAY.
