A Tribute to Nelson Mandela
July 19, 1918–December 5, 2013
Served over 27 years in prison and as President of South Africa, 1994 to 1999
So much has been said about Nelson Mandela for 95 years. I have spent the last few days listening, watching, and reading about him and his life and thinking about what he stood for and valued. Truly an amazing individual who has touched so many lives and whose legacy will live on for generations to come.
Here are five of my favorite Nelson Mandela quotes:
It always seems impossible until it’s done.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.
If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.
Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve successif they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do.
Be a leader, like Nelson Mandela, and move to action TODAY!
