Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself.” As a leader, ask yourself:
- Have I ever asked a colleague to do something that I have never done?
- Have I ever asked a colleague to do something that I would never even consider doing myself?
If you answered yes to one or both of the questions, I encourage you to think about the individual’s response. Was it positive? Could they be resenting that you don’t walk the talk? Move to ActionTODAY and lead by example.
